To reveal his Son in me
(Galatians 1 v 16)
The word of God's focus is on The Lord Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament there is so much increasingly revealed about Him. The gospels tell of His coming, work and return to glory. Acts tells us about His continuing work in the world by the Spirit. The epistles tell us so much about the person and work of Christ, as well as Christ's church. The book of Revelation tells us about the reign of Christ overall and the glorious eternity of all saved by Christ. So, the bible reveals so much of Christ to us.
It's only when by faith we trust in Christ to save us a sinner, only then is Christ revealed in us, "Christ in you the hope of glory" (Colossians 3 v 4). We are told in 1 Corinthians 6 v 15, "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ". Christ is revealed to us in God's word that we might come to Him for salvation, resulting in Him being revealed in us.
However, those who have Christ revealed in them having trusted in Him to save them. They are required by God to have Christ revealed by us. It is their privilege and duty to make Christ known. People need to see Christ revealed by us as we seek to live Christ-like lives. They also need to have Christ revealed by us as we speak of Him. We can speak on many subjects, why not Christ, "Who loved us and gave Himself for us" (Galatians 2 v 20). Eternally Christ will be revealed by all He has saved because, "We shall be like Him" (1 John 3 v 2).
