"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you"
1 Peter 5 v 7
Sometimes in life we don't share some concern we have with loved ones or friends because we don't want to burden them. However, if as a Christian we do this with God we are not doing what He tells us, "Cast your cares on me". We are behaving as if God doesn't really care for us and is willing and able to help us.
It does seem amazing that God, maker of heaven and earth would care for little sinful you.
- God cares so much that he came in the person of God the Son to keep His laws you have broken and die on the cross taking the penalty breaking them deserves.
- God cares so much that on faith in Christ Jesus He adopts you into His family.
- The care of God for the believer extends to His working all the things in our lives together for your spiritual good.
- God cares so much for believers that His ears are always open to our prayers.
- Ultimately God's care for the believer is seen when at death He receives us into His heaven.
Seeing then that God cares so much for you as a believer in Christ, you should cast whatever cares and concerns you have upon Him. It is sad when a Christian finds this a difficult thing to do. The way to do this is to not doubt His care for you and His willingness to help you. You must then prayerfully open up your heart to God and tell Him your cares and concerns. Do not then still be burdened with that concern but believe that God cares so much for you that He will therefore help.
Never ever forget this staggering truth believer in Christ, "he careth for you!"
