Only God is eternal, nothing and nobody else is eternal. There are animals that have a beginning and an end. There are angels and the souls of people that have a beginning but no end. The only being that has no beginning or end is God. There never was a moment when God was not. Equally there never will be a moment when God shall not be.
If God had a beginning then He must receive it from another who must therefore be superior to God, they would be God. God is the supreme being because He does not owe His beginning to another.
God's eternity should humble us and cause us who had a beginning to see how exalted above us God is. It should lead us to bow down before and worship Him. How foolish it is to love the world and the things of the world more than God. How unwise to put that which is temporary before the eternal God.
The eternal God has created us living souls who will eternally continue after we die. One of two things will then happen to us. We will suffer the eternal righteous punishment of God we deserve for not living as God who is holy has commanded. The only other alternative is to trust in the eternal God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to save us a sinner. We will then have what we don't deserve, the eternal blessing and enjoyment of God who is eternal.
