"I am with you always"
Matthew 28 V 20
There is a hymn that begins, "I do not know what lies ahead, the way I cannot see" People find this fact very frustrating, they want to be able to see into the future as seen in the foolish popularity of horoscopes. The reality is as it says in the same hymn, "I know who holds the future." It is God alone, who is an all knowing God that knows the future of each person.
One thing is certain in the future of each person, there will be both happy and sad days. There will be days when we are healthy and days when we are not. Some days ahead will be exciting and yet others could be somewhat monotonous. One thing is sure which is known and determined by God, we shall have a day which is our last!
No matter what each day holds for us in the future, as a believer in Christ, He will continually be with us. It is far more important to know Christ will be with us each day, than what each day may hold. The hymn previously mentioned reminds the believer in Christ that :
"I do not know how many days
Of life are mine to spend;
But One who knows and cares for me
Will keep me to the end:
I do not know the course ahead
What joys and griefs are there;
But One is near who fully knows,
I'll trust His loving care:”
